Wow, it’s Monday again already. Hi friends, and welcome back. Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of creating Spellbinders Pooh and Friends Handmade Cards. Three cards covering Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Eeyore. It was one of my favorite childhood books, bringing back memories of imaginary childhood adventures with this crew. You can find the Say Cheese Classic Pooh release with Simple Stories over on the Spellbinders site here.

Silly Old Bear BetterPress Sentiments
Pooh and Friends Silhouette Die
There are so many cute dies and plates in this release I’m sure I could have made 10 cards, so I hope to circle back to play with this set again. I tried to use a good cross section for cards today and of course, these are my favorites.
Spellbinders Pooh and Friends Handmade Cards – The Silhouette Die.
This by far is my favorite item from the release. It’s such a happy image, all the friends off on a new adventure.
Start with a piece of watercolor paper 3-3/4 x 5-3/4″ and using Lindy’s Magicals, create the sky. I used Lucky Shamrock Green and Poutine Gold.
Next, die cut the gang in black cardstock and glue over the background.
Then, create a white card base 6″ x 8″, score at 4″ Cut a black card front 4″ x 6″ and attach to the card base before adding the art piece.
Finally, BetterPress the Silly Old Bear Sentiments with black ink onto white cardstock before cutting out with the coordinating dies.
Spellbinders Pooh and Friends Handmade Cards – Pooh and Piglet.
Start with a A2 sized white told folding card base, 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Next, cut a card front from white cardstock, 4-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and ink blend with Distress Oxide Inks in Mowed Lawn and Broken China
Then, die cut all the pieces and before gluing them together, add a bit of ink blending to add details and shadows. Pooh is ink bended in Wild Honey and Piglet is ink blended in Picked Raspberry.
Finally, use foam squares to attach all the pieces to the card front along with another sentiment.
Spellbinders Pooh and Friends Handmade Cards – Eeyore.
Probably one of my most favorite characters, Eeyore.
Start by cutting Eeyore from Purple Mist cardstock and then ink blend him with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink. Next, die cut his nose from Pink Sand and add it. The bow on his tail and the butterfly are also cut from Pink Sand and Ink Blended with Picked Raspberry.
Next, create a soft subtle ink blended background using Mowed Lawn and Broken China and attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base.
Finally, attach the art pieces with foam squares to add some dimension.
I hope you enjoyed my cards today. There are so many fun elements in this release, I’ll be adding a few more cards very soon.
