Spellbinders Santa’s Fireplace

Hey card making friends, hope you are having a great week so far.  I’m buried in Design Team projects and having a blast creating them so here’s the next one – Spellbinders Santa’s Fireplace.  And this is Christmas Card #27 – how are you doing on yours?

Did your survive the Facebook/IG outage yesterday – how crazy right?  I have to say, I got a lot of work caught up yesterday without the distractions, LOL….I may start turning it off more often, LOL.

Anyway, back to today’s card share:

This is the Large die of the Month – monthly Kit from Spellbinders and I believe there are 27 dies in this set – it’s HUGE….and it’s so fun to create with.

If you don’t want Santa in the chimney, there are also log and fire dies to add if you wish.  Or do both and give Santa some hot toes, haha.

I decided to let Santa off the hook and left out the logs and the fire, LOL instead I added the candleholders to either side of the fireplace.

Steps for creating the Santa’s Fireplace Card.

Die cut all the pieces in the colors you wish to use.

TIP – you need a couple of pieces of shadow cardstock to add the depth to the inside of the fireplace.

Cut those from Fog cardstock (pale gray) and the measurement I used is 3 x 3-1/4″

Place one directly behind the fireplace.   Mount the second on foam squares and attach to the back.  This creates the box that Santa is coming down.

I used mirror silver for the candleholders and the fire dog just to add a little bling to the design.

Created the wallpaper behind the fireplace with the Plaid Company Embossing Folder.  (this embossing folder is on sale this week)

There are also 3 – 4 sentiments that you can cut for the hearth.

This month’s kit as usual, is tons of fun, has lots of variety and cuts beautifully.  Order yours soon, as the clear stamp set for this month is already sold out, I doubt this kit will be far behind.
