If you follow me regularly you know that I love to combine these monthly kits because I love to foil.  So, again this month, I’ve combined the Small Die of the Month Kit “Trefoil Tile and Panel Card Creator” (the gold elements at the top and bottom of the card), and the beautiful Heart Melt Sentiments from Becca Feeken.  These sentiments are truly beautiful and have outline dies to cut them out as well. (I’ve linked to them at the bottom of this post for you).

Creating the Spellbinders Scalloped Rectangle Glimmer of the Month Card:

  • Start by Gold glimmering the Scalloped Rectangles on Hero Arts Paradise card and white card.
  • I find it easiest to cut all the pieces at 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 for ease of lining up the glimmer plates, and then trim them down afterwards.
  • Attach them to a A2 top folding card base, adding foam tape under the white center piece.
  • Foil one of the sentiments from the new Heart Melt Sentiments and cut it out with the outline die
  • Cut two of the Trefoil Tiles twice in white and once in gold.  Layer them and glue together with white glue.

  • Attach the sentiment to the center of the card with foam tape
  • Attach the trefoil tiles top and bottom with white glue

I think this card would also look fabulous in BLACK – don’t you?

On with the HOP – and don’t forget to leave comments for your chance to win:

You’ve arrived from Jackie’s blog, and now it’s time to hop on to visit Laurie.  If you get lost along the way, here is a complete list of everyone playing this month.

  2. I just received my large die of the month. I can’t wait to put it to use. This is such a great die! Love the card; nice, simple, & colorful.

    1. yeah, have fun with it, the kits are fabulous again this month, and thank you on the card. I was short on time and still can’t sit for long, so clean and simple worked, LOL

  3. Great layers. I really do like how well the foiling came out and yes, it would look amazing in black as well. Thank you for the idea share.

  4. Sandi, I love the foil card. I love looking at all the creative ways crafters use the foiling system. I’m envious of the beautiful cards. I can only foil with the laminating machine, or glues and tapes. I do not have the foil system as of yet but knowing me, I will have it in the coming months. (LOL)

  5. I ADORE your card done with this months Glimmer Plates! I’ve been wanting some Glimmer Dies just like these! (SO GLAD I am a Glimmer Club Member!) 😉 AND the color card stock you used is GORGEOUS with the foiling too! ;)<
