Spellbinders Sending Waves

Hey card making friends, thanks for stopping in today.  Spellbinders Sending Waves is my final club kit post for June and it’s the GLIMMER of the MONTH KIT.  As the name hints, it’s waves.  BIG BEAUTIFUL rolling waves.  Which of course begs itself to be combined with a whale.  I decided on the larger Orca whale from the Large Die of the Month Kit Whale in a Bottle but the little whale from the Clear Stamp Set of the Month would be adorable as well.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

Normally I love to foil in Polished Brass Glimmer Hot foil, but today, I stretched my wings and foiled in the beautiful Moon Dust blue.  I also foiled over blue cardstock, Waterfall and Teal Topaz.  Alternatively, you could use a blending brush and ink blend white cardstock in shades of blue and then foil them.

hand made greeting card with two tone blue waves and a black and white orca whale created with new card making supplies from Spellbinders

How to create the Spellbinders Sending Waves Card:

Start by foiling three waves on scraps of Waterfall and Teal Topaz cardstock

Next, overlay them  slightly and glue them together, then glue them to the bottom of a side folding A2 sized white card base.  Trim the overhang.

Adding the Whale:

Create the Orca Whale from black and white scraps and use foam squares to attach it to the left side of the card.

Then, Add the foiled sentiment to the top right to balance out the card.
