Spellbinders Stitched Floral Cardfront

Hey card making friends, welcome back.  Today I’m sharing the Spellbinders Stitched Floral Cardfront.  This is the August Stitched Club of the month kit and once again, it’s FABULOUS.  The kit contains multiple dies.  The large cardfront die, cuts out a beautiful teardrop and dot design across the entire card front and lightly embosses where the other elements go.  Next, there are dies for all the delicate flowers and leaves.  Finally, the “Hi” sentiment and border for the center of the card.

I decided to ink blend each of the stitching elements using Distress Oxide inks.  I used soft summer colors for this one, and the colors are listed below.  Once they were dry, I stitched them with the Gold Metallic Thread using a #24 Tapestry Needle – the perfect size for stitching cardstock.

How to create the Spellbinders Stitched Floral Cardfront Card.

Start with a piece of 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ white cardstock to die cut the card front.  Glue to a pale green panel the same size and then to a A2 sized top folding white card base.

Next, cut out the flowers and leaves and ink blend them with the Distress Oxide Inks:

Then, once the ink is dry, straight stitch around each of the pieces.

Finally, use liquid glue to attach them to the card front and then lay a large acrylic stamp handle (or heavy book) over the entire piece to hold them down until they are completely dry.
