The Magic Mat is back in Stock

I’m so excited to share that the Magic Mat is Back in Stock at Scrapbook.com

This replacement for one of your plastic cutting pads will absolutely WOW you with its magical die cutting results.

The Magic Mat is back in stock

I have the Gemini Jr, the Platinum 6 and a Big Shot and these mats fit all of those machines.  I just placed my order for 3 more 1 for each machine.

The Magic Mat

What is the Magic Mat?

It’s a cutting pad made from a high quality self-healing material.  It’s designed to be long-lasting when used with blades and cutting tools.

The resilience of the material makes it the ideal surface for continual metal die cutting.

Plus, it saves you money as it replaces one of your standard plastic cutting pads.

Finally, say goodbye to warped plastic cutting pads, deep etchings, marks, or scratches that transfer onto your next die cutting project.

The Magic Mat for Die Cutting

You will also use fewer plastic cutting pads since you’re only using 1 at a time and pairing it with the super affordable Magic Mat Cutting Pad

When your die cuts come out the other side of your Big Shot Platinum, Gemini, Evolution or other die cutting machines, you’ll instantly see (and hear) the difference.

Not only are there no cracking noises with the Magic Mat, but you’ll also see cleaner results and spend less time cleaning out intricate cuts from ornate dies with fine details.

THe Magic Mat for Die Cutting - cleaner cuts

As you know, standard cutting pads are made of impact resistant, hard polycarbonate plastic.

The Magic Mat Cutting pad is made of 5 layers of recycled PVC plastic which forms a self-healing, forgiving material.

While ordinary cutting pads resist the blade of our metal dies, the Magic Mat absorbs the blade and allows for a smoother cut on its long-lasting surface.

The Magic Mat is also great to use with craft knives, scissors and other blades, so you don’t need a die cutting machine to enjoy the benefits of this cutting surface.

You can order yours here through Scrapbook.com and they would make great gifts for your crafty friends too.

Please note the 9 x 15″ mat is currently out of stock and due back in June 2021

  1. Thank you so much for this info, Sandi. I just ordered two of them. I heard a little bit about this a month or two ago but until I read your post I didn’t do anything about it. I go thru those plastic cutting plates frequently. Your link popped me over to Scrapbook.com where I saw they are on sale! Thank you again, Sandi. You’ll have to show us photos or a video of your new craft space.

    1. you are so welcome Amy, you will love them. If I ever get my craft space cleaned up and finish unpacking, I’ll do a video, LOL

  2. Hi, Sandi, I ordered a set of 2 regular magic mats, but I could not find any info on how to get a mini magic mat. I couldn’t even find a listing for it. Would like to be able to get one or a set of two for the mini machine, too. Could you email me an answer. Miss having you down here. Gail S.

    1. Hi Gail, you will have to contact Scrapbook.com and ask them. I haven’t seen the mini mat back in stock for awhile so I don’t know what to tell you on that.
I miss being down there too….

  3. I just ordered the mat Sandi, thanks, I have never heard of these before. Thought I would give them a try as the last plate I ordered only lasted a month before is was so warped I had to throw it away.

    thanks again

    1. Hi Kristi, I think you will like them. all plates will eventually wear out, but these ones last so much longer, it really does make it worth while. make sure you move your dies around so you are not cutting in the same place all the time too, that really helps

  4. On the way to you for the Spellbinders Blog Hop, I saw this information. Thanks for providing it! I had just finished ordering the two Mats that are available. A third will be available in a couple of months; but, I too noticed the mini was missing from displaying on the website. The mat-2 URL is missing if you look at the link sections. I did submit this question to Scrapbook customer service.

    1. Hi Mary, I did put a notation in my blog post that the large mat is not available until June. There is no information about the mini mat that I could find to pass on to you at this time, so perhaps they don’t have an arrival date and just removed it from the site, I’ll keep watching for it.
