I’m happy today to be celebrating the release of new stamps from Lavinia. In particular, my favourite from this new Fairytale release – The Oracle.
So excited, I created a new paper crafting video with a pretty background just to showcase her.
Isn’t she just stunning? The new release includes a new set of 3 crows which I decided she needed, along with the tall Single Skeleton Tree and the Skeleton Tree Scene (smaller trees).
These Lavinia stamps are mostly silhouette designed thereby, making them absolutely perfect for sprayed backgrounds. (Or sponged, or brusho, haha, you get the idea – creative messy fun and ink fingers).
Because I just received the Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink Sprays,
I decided to use them for my background on today’s card. The colors I chose: Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint are a little on the bright side and I did that on purpose. There is a new Challenge monthly over on the Lavinia site and the theme is “Bright”….I think this card qualifies haha.
I created a video to share the steps to creating this card along with a supply list at the end of this post and also attached to the FREE PDF Download, just click the button to print/save
If you are reading this in an e-mail, you may need to CLICK HERE to visit my blog to watch the Video – or watch it in HD HERE on my Youtube Channel (don’t forget to subscribe)
I also used Nuvo Shimmer Powders Solar Flare and Catherine Wheel to add some splatter and sparkle to my art piece and some “new to me” Uni- Posca Paint Markers which I’m totally in love with. You will see how I use both of these in the video.

Check out my Distress Oxides Color Combos and Cards Blog PAGE – they are all listed there and I add to this list as I create new ones.
UPDATE: Some of the stamps and paper crafting products used in this video are no longer available. I have updated the links to things currently available. You can also visit Lavinia Stamps at Simon Says Stamps for some current stamps to use, or check out Joggles as they have a great selection of Lavinia stamps as well.

Love your card and good luck in this month’s challenge. I don’t have these Lavinia stamps but I will challenge myself to make something Lavinia. I love these stamps. I’m going to Mikes to see if they have the Posca pen if not I’ll to order it. I didn’t know CraftStash was coming to the US you have made my day with this news. Happy Monday.
the Posca pen’s are actually on sale on Amazon right now, I noticed that yesterday when I was linking them. Thanks for the kind words on my card Linda and I’m with you, totally excited that CraftStash is coming over the pond, yeah!….
Sandi this card is truly professional. It is drop dead gorgeous!!!!! Amazing talent!
aw, thank you so much Ginger, that is so sweet of you to say – I do love to play with ink, haha
Like the fact that you showed the 3 cards at the end, so we could see how certain products affect the finished card.
thank you Charlotte. I wanted to show all three as I had talked about the different times to use the mediums, and what the results would be, some good, some bad, haha
