Hi card making friends, hope you are having a great week so far. Today’s share is Tombow Marker Watercolor and I’m using the containers from the Honey Bee Stamps Farm Fresh Flowers stamp and die set.
I was deep in the mood for some water coloring yesterday morning but not for the mess as I had just cleaned up my stamping studio. So, I decided to break out the Tombow Markers as I love their rich colors and they blend so well.
To stamp the images, I started with the milk can in the center, once stamped, I masked it off before stamping the other two, all in Gina K Amalgam Ink (waterproof)
Color one container at a time so that the ink doesn’t run into the one beside it, making sure it’s completely dry before moving on to the next.
- Left watering can: Tombows 126, 098 greens and shadowed with 969 brown
- Milk Can: 533 blue, 665 purple, shadowed with 837 dark red and 969 brown
- Vase on right: 815 and 847 red, shadowed with 837 dark red and 969 brown
I love the vintage feel of this card, and to ground the images I added a line of the brown 969 and just blended it out with my waterbrush.
This is the set I’m playing with, Honey Bee Farm Fresh Flowers.
and there is a coordinating die set as well.
I created a couple of other cards with this set and colored them with my Copic Markers – you can view them here
Tombow Markers and Marker Universe:
I recently joined Marker Universe as an affiliate. I ordered my Karin Markers from them and they also sell Tombow Markers Individually and in sets.
I’ve collected my Tombows individually when I took their water coloring class and I like that I can replace one when it finally dries out – you can order them individually from MARKER UNIVERSE HERE
I suggest signing up for their newsletter as they have lots of sales and specials and I swear, they have every marker in the Universe!…..LOVE this store and they have great customer service too – check them out here

Thank you Yolande, I know this one is a little out of the ordinary, but I had a lot of fun painting those containers and playing with my markers, haha
