Hi card making friends. Hope you had a great weekend and enjoyed World Card Making Day. Today I’m playing with another new stamp from Unity Stamp Company Holly Time. I decided on a bit of non traditional coloring for this one.
Before I was married I decorated my entire house in pink and gold for the holidays. I had a little tiny vintage house and it lent itself beautifully to those colors. As a couple, Ian and I have toned it down a bit. Ok, we switched to Turquoise and white, haha, but I still put up one tree in the foyer in my favorite pink decorations.
This card reminds me of all those pretty decorations back then, so soft and muted.
The Unity Stamp Company Holly Time image stamps beautifully so I used my Misti Stamping Platform to stamp it multiple times to create a wallpaper background.
For the copic coloring, I decided not to get too carried away with shading and detail, after all, we usually make quite a few cards for the holidays right? So, I used a light and a dark for each color.
Copic Markers used for the Unity Stamp Company Holly Time Card:
- Pinks: RV13, RV17
- Greens: YG23, YG67
I matted it in pink and then attached it to a side folding A2 card base. The sentiment is also stamped on white and laid across the bottom of the card.
I added some dot details to the berries only with my UniBall Signo White Gel Pen and embellished with some pretty Pinkfresh Essentials Jewel Mix.
Base: Neenah Solar White 110# – 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 score and fold at 4-1/4
Mat: Simon Says Stamp Doll Pink 3-7/8 x 5-1/8
Card front: Neenah Solar White 80# – 3-3/4 x 5
Sentiment: Neenah Solar White 80# 1 x 3-3/4
