Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom Release

Today is the day we have been waiting for, the Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom Release is live, woo hooo…..I love Waffle Flower releases, mostly because I’m infatuated with the Postage Collage series, and there’s usually a new one (and there is one).  BUT, this month, I’m over the moon for the entire release.  It’s flowers and butterflies, yeah!  After playing with many new products, I would have to say that they are all my favorites for different reasons, LOL.

Affiliate links are used throughout this post at no additional cost to you.  This allows me to keep bringing you content.  I appreciate your support.

Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom Release | Postage Collage Butterfly Stencil.

Products Used Today:

Start by die cutting the postage collage in white, then place it onto the  Grip Mat.

Next, as there is no background layer for this stencil set, I started with the Postage Collage Blocks Stencil to add a very light layer of teal and purple into alternating squares.

Then, I worked my way through the layers of stencils, starting with the lightest ink, to the darkest.

Finally, I added the cancellation stamps with VersaFine Clair Nocturn black ink.

Inks Used:  Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks in:  Tidepool, Seafoam, Mist, Heather, Violet and Iris

Sentiment:  The sentiment is from the New Paper Hug Sentiments and Die Set, stamped with VersaFine Nocturn Black onto Hammermill white cardstock.  LOVE this stamp set.  If you stopped in yesterday, you may have noticed I used it on the Coffee Cards I shared.

Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom Release | Postage Collage Spring Breeze Stencil

This is a NEW CONCEPT over at Waffle Flower, and their first attempt at a design that can be used on its own and also works great with the Postage Collage Die, even when cut apart.  I’ll be trying that next, haha.

I opted for the full card front stencil.  The layers fit together beautifully, the hardest part, is picking colors.

Colors I used:  Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks:  Seafoam, Mist, Bubblegum, Rhubarb, Field and Fairway.  I used Charcoal on the bodies and flower centers, and VersaFine Clair Nocturn black on the small sentiment.

OVERLAPPING WORDS SENTIMENTS

I used the Overlapping Hugs Die-n- Stencil for this card.

Now these are cool.  The stencil is laid out in rows, carrying every other letter.  So you start on the top row and stencil the H and S in the Pinks, then you move the stencil up, line up the guides, and stencil the U and S in the blues.  Then you cut it out with the coordinating dies.  Poof, so easy!

As I had a mat on my card front, I decided to cut two additional dies in the same color, and layer them behind the sentiment to add a top and bottom mat.

Over that, I added the new Overlapping Hugs Additions Stamp and matching dies.  you stamp the thin skinny word in black on white cardstock, and then die cut it out as an overlay.  Very slick and super fun to create.  This release includes a great selection of words and even an alphabet (which I wish I had gotten so I could make up my own words).

Waffle Flower Butterfly Blossom Release | Butterfly Blossom Texture Plate and Dies.

Probably my most favorite of this release.  There is even a coordinating stencil of you want to cut the flowers and butterflies from white cardstock and then stencil them.

Start by die cutting the Butterfly Blossom Texture Plate in Parakeet Green and then using Artichoke Ink to add some texture and depth.

Next, cut the flowers from Roselle and Pizzazz Bazzill cardstock, and the butterflies from Hero Arts Paradise cardstock.

Then, cut the flower centers from green and yellow, and the butterfly bodies in black.  Ink Blend the pieces with Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink in Rhubarb, Ocean, Artichoke, and Butter Inks.

Finally, attach them all using either Bearly Art Glue of foam squares for some height.  Attach to a top folding A2 sized white card base, with a light coral card front.  Embellish with Spellbinders Spectrum SB Color Essential Gems.
