Warm and Feathered Valentines

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to my cardmaking blog.  I have a Warm and Feathered Valentines to share with you today.

It’s been snowing daily around here so it’s a great time to cozy up with some coloring tools and I decided iI needed some some Valentines cards.

My Favorite Things Warm and Feathered Valentines

This background die is from Memory Box,  the fabulous Alpine Trees.  Great here for snow covered winter trees and creates a frosty mountain to set off my little owl friend.

To create the background for my Warm and Feathered Valentines card, I blended Distress oxides all over the card front and then used  the MFT Lots of Hearts Stencil with the darkest Ink, Picked Raspberry, to add really subtle hearts up there in the sky.

I used Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Squeezed Lemonade.  When the ink was dry, I splatted a bit of white paint on it to make it look like snow.

Over that, I white heat embossed the Lots of Love sentiment from MFT Birdie Brown Greetings and some of the snowflakes in the Warm and Feathered Hugs stamp set.

OF NOTE:  Looks Like Birdie Brown Greetings is not available at the moment, but Birdie Brown Greetings Galore is, with an selection of sentiments that would be perfect for this card.

The little owl is colored with Copic markers (listed in the PDF below), and die cut out with the coordinating dies.
