Hi stamping friends, today I’m sharing Feline Blooms…yep, flower cats, haha….for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge and another day of #thedailymarker30day color challenge.
This week over on the Simon Says Stamp Blog – Wednesday Challenge, they are showcasing Stampendous Products. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some, they would love to see them used.
ANYTHING GOES
The lovely folks over at Simon Says Stamp are generously giving away a fabulous $50 Voucher to shop at the Simon Says Stamp Store. All you have to do is dig out your crafty supplies, make something following this week’s prompt, and add a link in the inlinkz at the bottom of the challenge page. You can join 5 times so you could have 5 chances to win!
One of my favorite Stampendous Products is the line of Laurel Burch Stamps and dies and for today’s share I’m using the Feline Blooms and Dies set. (they have dogs too)
I love Laurel Burch’s bright beautiful colors in her products (they just make me happy) and it was the perfect opportunity to do some more coloring with my Zig Markers. I stuck with a blue/purple theme for today’s card and I share the colors I used in the free PDF download below.
Did you know that you can also blend with these markers?
Simply lay down your lighter color, then add a small amount of a darker color, and use the light color pen to blend. There is just enough moister in the pen to blend the colors – great for highlighting and shadows.
Once I finished coloring my Feline and Blooms, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also White heat embossed a sentiment on a scrap of black.
I needed a background for my images, so I water colored one with my Gansai Tambi watercolors. Let it dry and randomly stamped the flower image with VersaFine Clair Blue Belle ink. I used the 036 light blue Zig marker to fill in a bit of color in each of the flowers.
Simon Says Stamp carries an entire line of the Laurel Burch Stamps here – and I also shared a card a bit ago with the Mermaid stamp here.
I also have a Pinterest page for these which gives you some great coloring ideas – click here.
Thanks so much for visiting me today and I hope you enjoyed the project. I’ve listed the products I used below. Clicking on the image will take you directly to the product. Where available I use compensated affiliate links which means if you make a purchase through my link, I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you so very much for your support, it helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running and I truly appreciate it.
P.S. if you do place an order through my affiliate links, please E-Mail Me with the date and amount along with your name and address as I would love to send you a thank you card.

I have never seen your colorations of Laurel Burches’ stamps before now. I love them. I have struggled to do my own coloring of the cats and horses, but now I have some help. So happy I found this part of your work, Sandi. Thank you for your talent and your willingness to share the results of it!
thank you Carol. I have been a fan for years and need to drag them out more often as a truly do love to color them.
Cute card Sandi! Love your kitty, fun colors!
Thanks Amy, love coloring these stamps with all the bright colors
