HI stamping friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing the second set of three cards I created with the My Favorite Things Christmas Selfies stamp set. Over the weekend I was catching up on The Daily Marker 30 day color challenge and I posted this pic on my business facebook page , and my Instagram Page
This set is so fabulous and fun to color. Each of the images took me about 10 minutes and I caught up on some T.V. watching/listening while I did it. I used the same colors (listed below) on all of them and the same card stock which made them very quick to create.
There is also a matching Polaroid Shaker Frame die that I would highly recommend getting at the same time, as I had to create my selfies frames with my stitched square dies, and they were not quite the exact size.
I love these goofy little guys and I’ll be coloring more for sure but I think I’m going to order the selfie die first haha, it will greatly cut down on the “putting together” part of the card.
The cards are all white A2 card bases and a front panel 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I find this a great way to conserve my colored card stock and I always have a white card on the inside to write on.
Santa and Rudolf are in the middle of a blizzard. I used the white gel pen at the end of my coloring to add the blizzard on each image. I knew I was keeping the card fronts very clean and simple, so that allowed a little more detail in the art pieces.
I have also decorated each of the card fronts with a few snowflakes cut with the MFT Layered Snowflakes die set.
This mischievous little elf is dropping to say hello. I pulled all the colors from the card stock I was using into the image so it coordinated. Using the same colors for all the images really did speed up this process as it takes me forever to decide which colors to use. Do you have that problem too?
Hey Hey the gangs all here. For this one I used a Tim Holtz embossing Folder “snowfall” on my card front to add some background interest. I’m waiting for an order from Spellbinders with some new embossing folders in them as I decided the other day I really miss using them, haha. They are a great way to add additional interest to a card, without layers of card stock.
