Simon Says Stamp Botanical Heart

Hi cardmaking friends.  I have a clean and simple Simon Says Stamp Botanical Heart card to share with you today.

Who could resist this beautiful stamp when it came out in the recent Simon Says Stamp Hey Bestie Release?  Not Me that’s for sure haha.  I think this release was one of Simon’s finest and I wanted to push the “I want it all” button, but I showed a small amount of restraint, haha.

My love for floral stamps is evident throughout my blog.  For this one I could see using it for many occasions and also many techniques.  Today I’m starting with colored pencils.

I used the Misti to stamp the image onto the Simon Says Stamp Island Blue card front with Versamark Ink and Gold heat embossed it.  Doing this adds instant elegance to the image and coloring on colored card stock really cuts down on how much coloring is required so you can finished these beautiful cards quickly.

Next I colored in the flowers and leaves with my Prismacolor pencils.

The stamped border across the bottom is also gold embossed as is the overlayed sentiment.

Finally, a sprinkling of sequins to highlight this beautiful Botanical Heart image.  The card is 5 x 7 one layer card so no extra postage, yeah!
