Hey cardmaking friends, happy hump day. I can’t believe it’s mid week already, WOW. Today I have two Stenciled Slimline Christmas Cards to share with you. If you’re keeping count, this is #29 and #30 Christmas Cards for this year. I think I need about 45, so I’m almost there. I may have to do a little last minute mass producing at the end haha.
Anyway, on to the cards. I used the new Simon Says Stamp Geometric Slimline Stencil on both along with Distress Oxide Inks, just because I love blending with them.
Pink – Stenciled Slimline Christmas Card:
Use Distress Oxide Inks:
- Spun Sugar,
- Worn Lipstick
- Picked Raspberry
Blend the colors over the Geometric stencil onto a 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of Hammermill white cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp blending brushes
Next, remove the stencil and add a little more ink to dull out the white lines a bit.
Heat set until the ink is dry.
White heat emboss the sentiment from the new Simon Says Stamp XL Christmas Greetings.
Use snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp to add snowflakes down the edges of the piece.
Dies: Marie Snowflake
Daphne Snowflake
Mini Snowflake Mandala
Grace Snowflake
Cut a frame with two slimline dies, glue a piece of clear acetate to the back and then add thin foam strips all the way around.
Lay some Girls Best Friend sequins into the center of the pink art piece and then add the frame to seal in the sequins and create the shaker.
Finally, attach the shaker to a side folding 3-1/2 x 8-1/2 white card base.

Blue Stenciled Slimline Christmas Cards
The steps for the second card are the same as the first without the shaker element.
Distress Oxide Inks Used:
- Tumbled Glass
- Broken China
- Mermaid Lagoon
For the sentiment on this one, the word Christmas is white heat embossed onto a piece of card stock blended with the Broken China Ink.
