Hi cardmaking friends, and a happy weekend to you. Today I’m sharing a new Slimline Card created with the Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month. There are all kinds of wonderful sentiments in this month’s stamp set to cover pretty much any occasions.
I combined the sentiments with the Glimmer of the Month Kit for October Glimmering Autumn Woods. I love this set and I’m no where near finished playing with it yet.
Visit my How to use the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine page for more information on Foiling.
How to create the Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month Slimline Card:
Start by using the Spellbinders Slimline Flora embossing folder and a 2-3/4 x 7-3/4 piece of Hammermill cardstock. (love this stuff and I use it for everything).
Next, spritz watercolor paper with Distress inks in fall colors and let them dry
Use the Glimmer Hot foil system and the copper glimmer for that came in this months kit to foil a bunch of leaves in rainbow order.
Starting at the top of the card with blue, fading to green, then yellow. Yellow combined with pink and moving down to a pink and purple combo.
Next, stamp the sentiment using the Spellbinders Clear Stamp of the Month onto scraps of white cardstock in VersaMark ink and copper heat emboss the “sending” word so it matches the other foiling
Stamp the remaining sentiments in black.
Attach all of the pieces to the card front with foam squares, letting some hang off the edge.
Turn the piece over and trim flush from the back.
Mount to a Slimline Card Base 7 x 8-1/2 card base, scored and folded at 3-1/2
