Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back. It’s an exciting day today as I get to share the PFS December Cardmaking Release. There is a beautiful new selection of products being released today and I got to play with some and create some inspiration for you.
As you work down through the cards, you may notice a repeating image. Like the Slim Line Lots of Blossoms Stencils. It also comes in regular 6 x 6 and I’m obsessed with them right now, haha, so many fun background ideas, I even embossed with one of them.
Ok, let’s get started on the PFS December Cardmaking Release:
#1 – Happy Birthday Slim Line Edge to Edge Shaker Card:
I love this bright happy card. Start by blending a rainbow of colors across the background through the Slim Line Lots of Blossoms Stencil.
Next stamp the New Here Come Birthday Wishes Stamp in black ink across the centre.
Use packaging material to create the edge to edge shaker card and fill it with the Birthday Candles Sequin Mix (check out the little birthday candles in the shaker guts).
Finally, after mounting it to a lime green mat and then a white Slimline Card Base, add the Peach and Piper images colored with Copic Markers.
Card #2 – Slim Line Pisces Girl:
Next in the Zodiac Girls collection is Pisces girl. I’m a Pisces, probably why I make so many green and blue cards, haha, so here’s another one.
Create the background with Nuvo Shimmer Powders: Solar Flare, Falling Leaves and Atlantis Burst. Spray water on watercolor paper and then add the powders, turning the paper until they all blended together into this beautiful green slime.
Next, over this background lay down the Slim Line Fish for Infinity Stencil and use a spatulas to add Golden Rose paper Glaze through the stencil. This leaves you with all these cool gold fish swimming in circles in the background.
Color Pisces Girl with Copic Markers and die cut out with the coordinating die.
- Blues: BG11, BG13, BG49,
- Skin: E50, E53, E34
- Pinks: RV10, RV13
- Yellow: Y15, Y17, YR07
- Violet: V15
#3 – A rainbow of thanks – Do not adjust your screens!
New this month, the Slim Line Thanks Word Topper Die. The rebel that I am, I used it on a A2 sized card instead and cut out 5 layers for a rainbow.
Little did I know it would have this “shaking look” when I was done at it’s hard on the eyes, but it’s bright, cheery and fun and I love it, so that’s all that matters.
This is my super quick clean and simple card for this month’s release.
#4 PFS December Cardmaking Release – Mini Slimline Shaker Card
First, create two Mini Slimline card fronts using the Mini Slimline Double Stitched Rectangles dies that came out in November
Next, Ink smoosh them both with Distress Oxide Inks in pinks and yellows.
Die cut the NEW HB2U Word Die out of one of them and save the cut out for another card
Finally, create the shaker and fill it with the NEW Crystalline Diamonds from Picket Fence Studios.
These new Crystalline Diamonds are so fun, bright happy colors, in BIG jars and perfect for shaker guts! NOTE – Orange is not currently available, someone in China is still playing with them!
#5 – My Mixed Media card
Boy, did I get dirty fingers creating this one, but it’s so sparkly and fun, it was worth it.
Start by spritzing a piece of watercolor paper and adding some Nuvo Shimmer powders in light blue randomly over the piece
Slam that Slim Line Lots of Blossoms stencil down, and ink blend Villainous Potion, Mermaid Lagoon and Broken China through it.
Next, Clean the stencil and place it back down on the art piece and add Sunset Purple Paper Glaze Ombre along the left side, working from the bottom corner up.
Add Purple Prism Paper Glitz randomly on a few spots across the card. Clean the stencil right away.
Die cut the NEW SLim Line Happy Birthday Word Topper Die in Black and Purple. Stack and attach to the card front
Silver emboss one of the sentiments from the Word Topper Dies Subtitles stamp set
Finally, embellish with the NEW Pearl Mix in Bright Blue and Soft Violet (these things are amazing colors)
#6 – My Snarky Slimline Birthday Card
I love that this card is so elegant in gold and black, it makes you unsuspecting of the snarky comment, haha
Add that amazing Slim Line Lots of Blossoms stencil over a piece of gray card and blend black ink through it to create this elegant background
Mat it in gold and then add to a black card base.
Next – Die cut the new Slim Line Happy Birthday Word Topper Die in Gold.
Stamp the snarky sentiment in the strip below the words from the NEW More Word Topper Subtitles in black ink.
Finally, attach the sentiment strip to the bottom of the card front and add a gold jewel to the center of each flower from the Sands of Time Gem Mix
