Hey cardmaking friends. Today I’m sharing a Simon Says Stamp Evening Blossom Card made with some new products from Simon Says Stamp.
But first, I wanted to wish all you fabulous readers a very Happy New Year. Thank you for hanging with me for the past crazy year. Thanks for all your kind comments and fun emails. Thanks for using my links for your shopping and following me on Instagram. It’s much appreciated and I hope you will hang with me for the next year. We don’t make new year’s resolutions around here but my business building activity for the coming year is to do more videos and I have purchased a stand for my phone so I can do Facebook lives with you too. Honestly, the live thing scares me a lot, but I’m looking forward to giving it a try. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and see what happens, LOL. So until then, CHEERS (she says, with a glass of red wine). May the new year bring you health and happiness.
This will also be my last post for the year so a heads up – head over to my Paper Crafting Sales page – as there are a ton of END OF YEAR SALES GOING ON…..
And, I ended up with two Evening Blossom Dies – so I’m doing a GIVE AWAY for the second one:
- Leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite color combo is – for a chance to win.
- Leave a comment over on my INSTAGRAM Post for this card for a second chance to win.
Winner will be chosen Jan 3 and Posted Jan 4 here on my blog.
Evening Blossom Card:
TIP – The big white flower is the Etched Evening Blossom Die, and all of Simon Says Stamps Exclusive Dies are on sale for 20% OFF through Dec 31, so it’s a great time to stock up.
Ok, on to the creation of this beauty. I’m in Birthday Card mode right now, stocking up the supply for the year. SO this is Birthday Card #1 for 2022 – but change out the sentiment for whatever you need. This is also a 10 minute or less card, so you can mass produce a pile of them for your stash.
Start by blending Simon’s Pawsitively Saturated Ink Peachy and Sweets, from opposite ends of the card front. Overlap in the middle to create the third color.
Once the ink is dry, place the piece inside the Geometric Lattice Embossing Folder and run it through a die cutting machine to create the 3-D embossing.
Finally, attach it to a white top folding A2 card base using 1/4″ scor-tape.
Adding the Evening Blossom Flower:
Die cut the Evening Blossom flower from Hammermill 100% white card stock. My card bases are all created with Hammermill as well (linked below).
Next, use foam squares to attach the flower down the left side of the card front.
Add a printed sentiment from the Reverse Birthday sentiment strips.
Finally, embellish with Simon’s Rainbow Party Sequins. I added pink ones near the bottom, and orange near the top.
I first saw this color combination over on Keisha Charles blog – At the Papermint. She did a beautiful butterfly card using this combo. Thanks for the great color combo idea Keisha.
