Spellbinders Yana’s Blooms

Hey cardmaking friends and welcome back.  When Yana asked me if I would like to design some cards with the New Spellbinders Yana’s Blooms, I jumped at the chance.  She is such a nice person and so talented and this is her third release of products for Spellbinders.  Having created with the last two, I knew this new set would be fabulous.  I share Yana’s love for Magnolias, so here are 4 different cards using new products from this release.

I have made a point of making all of these cards clean and simple and they are all foiled with Polished Brass Foil and the sentiments all use white and gold foil cardstock.

Magnolia Slimline Glimmer Card:

Die cut the Fluted Classic Slimline die and use a blending brush to add Simon Says Stamp Seafoam ink across the entire surface.  I love the texture around the edges this Fluted die gives.

Next, using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil Machine, and Polished Brass foil, foil the Magnolia Bouquet Glimmer twice onto white hammermill card

Cut them out with the coordinating dies and attach to the card front.

Cut the Layered Script Sentiment in gold and attach to the card.

Finally, the word happy, is heat foiled using the Splatter Sentiments Glimmer Foil set.

Foiled Magnolia Glimmer Blooms

The next card is also foiled in Polished Brass using the Magnolia Glimmer Blooms and then cut out with the coordinating die.

Use the Diagonal Glimmer Stripes Glimmer plate to add the gold lines to the card front before mounting to a Waterfall card stock base.

Next, use a small blending brush and Simon’s Seafoam ink pad to add a small amount of blue ink to the flowers.

Finally, mount them to the card front with foam squares.

Cut the sentiment from gold and white and attach to the card also with foam squares.

Spellbinders Yana’s Blooms Blue Magnolias

I know, there are no such thing as blue magnolias, but I thought it would be fun to foil on colored card stock instead of ink blending or coloring the flowers.

I added a white and fog cardstock layer behind for some added contrast and a big bright sentiment to balance out the card.

Finally, a few essentials gems in gold add the final bling.

Magnolia Blooms Etched Dies:

My final card uses my favorite item from this new Yana’s Bloom Release.  The Magnolia Blooms Etched Dies.  This die is slightly bigger than the previous foiled image and is stunning.

Die cut in gold and laid over the white background, it’s brilliant.  Use a small blending brush to blend on some of Simon Says Stamp Bubblegum ink

The wide gold foiled frame on the card front is created with the Splatter Sentiments Glimmer Foil rectangle.

Finally, add the die cut sentiment and more gold essential gems.

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards.  The foiling for all 4 of them took less than an hour and then putting the cards together was super simple and fast.
