November 22 Die of the Month

Hi crafty friends and welcome back.  It’s the first of the month and that means ALL NEW CLUBS from Spellbinders WOO HOO.  Today’s card is created with the November 22 Die of the Month Kit – Layered Floral Card Creator.  It’s fabulous, but you already know that.  These lovely layering dies do all the heavy lifting and with a few cuts, you can create a beautiful card in any color combo.  For today, I chose two shades of blue with a black background and gold highlights.  I LOVE it, it really makes the die design pop don’t you think?

This card was super fast and easy to create, the hardest part was picking the colors.  I started with one set of colors, didn’t like it, tried again.  Went and had breakfast came back and went a completely different direction.  Does that ever happen to you?  Some days it’s so easy to pick colors, others – I spend half my day on Pinterest haha.

How to create the November 22 Die of the Month Card.

Start by cutting a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of black and attaching it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.

Next, die cut the main background element twice in Teal Topaz

Then, die cut the florals and leaves in Waterfall and then the highlight overlay pieces in Matt Gold.

Finally, use Bearly Art Glue to attach all the layers together and then add them to the top and bottom of the card.

Adding the Sentiment:

Pick a sentiment from this month’s Clear Stamp Set of the Month (which coordinates beautifully with this die set.

Next, gold heat emboss it onto a scrap of black cardstock.

Then, Trim it down and attach with foam squares to add a bit of depth.

I seriously considering adding some gems to this but decided against it.  There is enough going on with the die cuts.

Pop over the SPELLBINDERS and check out the NEW CLUBS for this month.  They are fabulous as usual and I can’t wait to share more cards with you.
