Hey card making friends, welcome back. Tonight is the NEW RELEASE from Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Days. I have three new cards to share with you using the Simon Says Stamp Garden Fresh Stamp Set. This new release is full of spring time goodness. Lots of new dies and I’m in love with this new Garden Fresh Stamp Set as you will see, haha.
The coordinating Botanical JAR STENCIL for this stamp set is fun and makes coloring the jars super easy. I added the masking technique for today’s cards. This allowed me to stencil the background for added interest to these cards. I hope you enjoy them.

There is a coordinating Botanical JAR STENCIL for this stamp set. It’s quite fun to play with and makes coloring the jars super easy. I decided to add the masking technique for today’s cards too so I could add a stenciled background to these flat 1 layer cards. I hope you enjoy them.
The steps for each card are identical, just using different images in the set. All of the cards use the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Pads in Seafoam, Surf and Ocean for the jars and the background. Copic Markers are used to color the remainder of the images and I have them listed under each image.
If you are interested in a video for this masking and stenciling technique, let me know ok? I’m thinking of doing one.
WIN THESE CARDS:
I’m going to do a giveaway of all three cards to one reader. Simply leave a comment on this blog post to enter. Winner will be chosen on Saturday April 8th and announced in my blog post that day.
Simon Says Stamp Garden Fresh, Card #1
Start by using the Misti to stamp the image in copic friendly ink (Simon Says Stamp Intense Black In), unto a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Hammermill white cardstock.
Next, place the stencil over the jar and add the three inks with a blending brush, adding the darker colors to the left side of the image for depth of field.
Then, Color the images with Copic Markers: Flowers: R20, R05, R24, Leaves: YG03, YG17
Finally, stamp the image again onto a Gina K Masking paper, fussy cut it out and stick it over the image
Add the Tin Tile Stencil over the piece and use a blending brush to add a light layer of Seafoam ink just around the image. Pick of the mask with the new Place & Pierce Tool
Next, die cut the image with the Stitched Rectangle Wafer Die to add a beautiful stitched edge.
Then, place the piece back into the Misti and stamp the sentiment in the top right corner.
Finally, use foam squares to attach the piece to a top folding A2 white card base (4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2).
Add a small bow made from gold rope.
Simon Says Stamp Garden Fresh Card #2
Start by stamping the image in Copic friendly ink directly to the A2 white card base:
Next, follow the steps as in Card #1. Do not cut out the image with the Stitched rectangle Wafer Die set
Copics Used: Same as above, with the addition of Rose: RV17, RV19, RV55, Blue Leaves: BG11, BG13, BG49, Watering Can: N0, N1, N2, N3
Card #3
Same as above, this time stamping all three of the jars and stenciling the entire background.
This again is all done on the card front so as to not add bulk to the card.
Additional Copics used: The Roses are colored in RV17, RV19, RV55, and again, the blue leaves are colored in: BG11, BG13, BG49.
PRO-TIP – add small highlights to the flowers and jars with the Sakura Gelly Roll #10 white gel pen
