Spellbinders House Mouse Cards

Hi card makers.  Have you been stamping as long as I have?  like 20 – 30 years?  If so, then you probably remember HOUSE MOUSE yes?  Those adorable little mice and all their antics, LOL.  I absolutely LOVED coloring them.  Well, get ready to love them again, because Spellbinders is the New Home of House Mouse.  I was so excited when they asked if I would do some samples, I said YES PLEASE, so here we are, Spellbinders House Mouse Cards.  They were just released on the 10th over at Spellbinders and they even come in RED RUBBER just like the good old days.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

You can view the entire NEW RELEASE HERE and below you will find 3 cards I have created with three of the new stamp sets.

Of note, there are 6 stamps in this new release.  Spellbinders has a DISCOUNTED BUNDLE for purchasing all 6 at once, so save a little and have some coloring fun.

Start by using the Misti to stamp the images in copic friendly ink onto Hammermill white cardstock cut 4″ x 5-1/4″.   NOTE – don’t forget to remove the foam plate from your Misti so as not to damage the hinges.

Next, color the images using copic markers.

COPIC MARKERS USED:

Here is a visual card of the copics I like to use to color these adorable little guys.

Next, use a lighter color pen to color in the background.  I color in a swirling motion and used B000 and BG11 for today’s cards.

Finally, use a sakura #10 white gel pen to add highlights.

Spellbinders House Mouse Cards – Putting the cards together:

I use white card bases for all my cards and cut card fronts at 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ when I want a colored card front. I used Waterfall and Lilac Blossom card stock from Spellbinders today

Next, cut cardbases 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, score and bold at 4-1/4″ and then attach the colored card fronts.

Then, add the art pieces.

Finally, white heat emboss sentiments onto black cardstock.  Trim, and attach to the cards with foam squares.

  1. These are adorable! So cute Sandi. I don’t know House Mouse but Penny Black used to (still?) do some similar.

  2. Your cards are darling! I started out buying House Mouse cards, calendars ,and t shirts too. Then when I started stamping I bought the red rubber stamps. I still pull some of them out and color them. Fun cards Sandi!
