Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club Cards

Hey card makers.  Today I’m sharing Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club Cards 2023.  I have 3 cards to share with you created with the 3D embossing Folder Adorning the Tree and the regular Embossing Folder Club – Christmas Wrap Pattern.  Both of these folders create a beautiful embossed background for your cards providing a big WOW factor without a lot of work.  Adorn them with a small grouping of die cuts and a glimmer foil sentiment and you elevate to DOUBLE WOW.

Spellbinders July Embossing Folder Club Cards

All three of today’s cards are embellished with the awesome dies in the July Large Die of the Month Club 2023 (sold out).  These leaves and berries are perfect for adding just a small bit of detail.  The sentiments are all glimmer foiled in Polished Brass and the plates are from the July Glimmer of the Month Club.

How to create the Spellbinders July Embossing Folders Club Cards

Start by cutting the card front 4 x 5-1/4″, spritz both sides with water.  Place it inside the designed embossing folder and run it through the Platinum 6 die cutting machine.

Next, once the piece is dry, use a strong tape like Tear Tape to add it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.  NOTE:  The piece will be lumpy, so you want a strong tape to secure the piece so it looks professional.

Then, die cut the foliage in Rain Forest and Stampin Up Mint Macaron.  Next, ink blend with Pine Needles and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide Inks.

Finally, cut out and attach the berries.

Spellbinders July Embossing Folders Club Cards – Adding the sentiments.

Start with the sentiments from the July Glimmer of the Month Kit, and glimmer them in Polished Brass Foil onto scraps of black and Pink cardstock (pink for the next card).

Next, cut them out with the coordinating dies and attach with foam squares to elevate them slightly.

Finally, embellish the card with a few Crystal Mix Color Essential Gems.

This card is created as above.  I had a left over candy cane and some greenery from creating the Large Die of the Month Stocking Full of Joy card, so I used it here.

Next, to highlight the embossing, use a blending brush to add a bit of Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink to the edges before attaching it to the card base.

  1. The cards are absolutely gorgeous, and so are the
embossing folders! It’s amazing the difference
an embossed background makes, plus the colours, of course!!!

  2. Fabulous Sandi! I love how the EF takes centre stage, but the addition of all the other sweet little elements just kick it up and extra notch. Beautiful my friend.

  3. These are simply gorgeous! I like the green and pink ones best but the blue one is also very pretty! The folders from Spellbinders are amazing.
