Hi card making friends and welcome back. Today I’m sharing Spellbinders Blooming Pomegranate Card with you. This is the Large Die of the Month Club for August and it’s quite fabulous. I decided to do mine in some softer colors than normal, don’t really know why, it’s just what I was in the mood for.

If you follow me on my Facebook Page, you know that Ian and I just returned from a 10 day trip to Ontario visiting friends and family and the beautiful Niagra Falls. I have never seen them, and if you ever get a chance, they are spectacular.
The American side is on the left and the Canadian side is on the right. It was a long weekend and the crowds were crazy, so no boat rides for us. I really wanted to do the Zip Line, but, big crowds, and I didn’t want to have to walk all the way back across the park from the other end, LOL. That right there, tells you I’m getting old, haha. Anyway, great place to spend the day, lots to see.
Due to the trip I’m a little behind on my posting, sorry about that. Ian sprung it on me at the last minute and I didn’t have time to stock pile, so there will be a lot of catch up going on around here, LOL. Ink and paper flying.
Back to business here. This month’s Large Die of the Month club is this fun Blooming Pomegranate Die set. It’s quite fabulous, I love all the leaves and flowers, the sentiment etc. I’m not wild about the Pomegranates, LOL, and there are more dies if you want to build one that has been cut open. However, the card would also look fabulous if you ommited the pomegranates and replaced them with flowers.
I also backed them onto this months 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Stylized Floral which is absolutely Stunning – You NEED this one.
How to create the Spellbinders Blooming Pomegranate Card:
Start by cutting all the pieces from white cardstock and then ink blending them with Distress Oxide Inks:
Scattered Straw, Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Festive Berries, Candied Applies, Fired Brick and Picked Raspberry. (linked below for you).
Next, cut a card front 4 x 5-1/4″ and emboss it with the 3D Stylized Floral Embossing folder for August.
Then, attach the card front to a top folding A2 sized White card base.
Spellbinders Blooming Pomegranate Card – Putting it all together.
Start by using the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue and gluing down the leaves and stems
Next, over that, using foam squares, attach the flowers and fruit.
Finally, add the sentiment.
That’s it, nice and easy with beautiful details and depth thanks to that amazing 3D Stylized Floral Embossing Folder.

Love this card, but really all your cards are beautiful. I’m from Ontario and love Niagara Falls. I never get tired of the falls, but if I had my choice I prefer the American side . Much more natural beauty. I find our side to be very commercial.
Hi Rosemary, thanks on the card. I was only on the canadian side and it was very pretty but you are right, they have kind of turned it into an ammusement park, LOL. Still, lots of fun things to do, great restaurants and a nice gold beer at the top of the hill you have to walk up, haha

I love your card and the photo recalled fond memories of my trip there a few (8? 9?) years back w/ my hubby. It’s a stunning, amazing, jawdropping sight. The amount of water that passes through that area is staggering. The butterfly garden is worth going – any time of year – and the whirlpool is amazing. I loved my entire trip there.
