Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaf Card

Hey card making friends.  Today I’m sharing a Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaf Card created with the HUGE Autumn Leaf rubber stamp from the Season of Wonder release.  This is a HUGE background stamp in red rubber, solid image with the sentiment cut out of the rubber.  I used some mini ink cubes to color it up and had a blast stamping it.

I decided on some bright fun colors for today’s card as I’m not a huge fan of oranges, so we have Celery, Audrey Blue, Rose and Citrine all from Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks.  I like to use ink cubes for these types of techniques because it’s easy to add ink to small spaces and if I accidentally contaminate the pad with another color, it’s easy to clean off and reink.

PRO-TIP – once you have all the color laid down on the rubber, use sponge daubers to blend the edges of the colors together and eliminate any edge lines from the ink pads.

How to create the Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaf Card:

Start by using the Stitched Rectangle Wafer Dies to cut a card front in white cardstock 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″.

Next, lay the stamp face up inside the Misti and start adding your colors.  I start with the lightest and work to the darkest.

Then, use sponge daubers to blend the colors and eliminate any edge lines.

Next, lay the die cut card front down onto the stamp and rub the back with your fingers or a brayer to transfer all the ink to the paper.

Then, once the ink is dry, mount it to a top folding A2 sized white card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
