Hi card making friends.  Happy weekend.  Hope you are getting all your holiday shopping and baking done and enjoying some fun time with family and friends.  I’m still working on catch up, and baking is planned for next weekend, haha, at least we won’t eat it all ahead of time.    On to today’s card making video.  It’s Happy New Year Spectacular Fireworks Card created with the amazing Alex Syberia Designs Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate and the Happy New Year Plate and die.  Combining this with some colorful Distress Oxide Ink blending, creates this super easy and fun card.

I’m not going to go into a pile of detail on the card as it’s all shared in the video, but here’s the basics.

How to create the Happy New Year Spectacular Fireworks Card

Start with a white A2 sized top folding card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Next, cut a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white card front.  Ink blend the entire surface with Distress Oxide Inks and then dry them completely with a heat tool.

Distress Oxide Inks Used:

Villainous Potion, Peacock Feathers, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade.

Next, mix some water with white acrylic paint and splatter the front of the piece.  Then heat set dry again.

Then, using Polished Brass foil, foil the Brilliant Burst.

Finally, again using Polished Brass foil, foil the sentiment onto a scrap of navy card stock.

Add some Stay Gold Sequins and you are done.
