Embossing Folder Technique for Cardmaking | Distress Oxide Ink and Heat Embossing

In today’s video I create 11 cards using the Embossing Folder Magic Technique.  All supplies are listed at the end of this post in convenient thumbnail links for easy shopping.

How to create the Embossing Folder Magic Cards:

Step 1

Heavily spritz a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of watercolor paper with water.  Add 4 – 5 colors of Distress Oxide Sprays and allow the panel to dry completely.

Step 2

Emboss the panel using your favorite embossing folder, ensuring the raised design is on the inked (color) side.

Step 3

Swipe a VersaMark Ink pad over the raised embossed design.  Cover with white embossing powder, shake off the excess and heat set

Step 4

Adhere the panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  Place inside a splat box and add splatter of Pawsitively Perfect White Splatter Medium and Gold paint.

Step 5

Die cut a sentiment and coordinating shadow, then adhere to the card front.
