Hi cardmaking friends! Today I’m sharing a simple ink blending card idea featuring the beautiful Friendly Blossoms Stencil from Simon Says Stamp. This design is all about bold color, soft blending, and letting the stencil do the work to create a striking floral background. By combining vibrant orchid tones with fresh teal accents, this easy stencil card comes together quickly while still feeling polished and elevated. If you love clean designs with maximum impact, this ink blending technique is one you’ll reach for again and again.
There is also a coordinating die set available if you’d like to elevate your design even further by adding dimension with die cuts.

Products Used for Today’s Card:
- Friendly Blossoms Stencil
- Just Sayin Sentiment Dies
- Sticky Craft Mat
- Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks:
- Trio 16
- Trio 24

How to create this Ink Blended Card:
Start by placing a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of white cardstock onto a sticky mat. Using the three layering stencils in the set, blend inks to build your floral design.
For each color, use both a light and a dark shade. Begin by flooding the area with the lighter color, then add the darker shade towards the center of the flowers to create depth and dimension.
Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink Sets are perfect for this technique, as each color includes a light, medium, and dark shade– taking the guesswork out of choosing your ink combinations.

Repeat this process for the leaves, blending the Dew Ink first, then adding Mist for the leaf highlights in the stencil.
Once your panel is complete, adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.
Finally, use the Just Sayin Die set to cut a sentiment from Black and Lavender cardstock. Layer the pieces together and attach them tot he card front with foam squares for added dimension.

Here’s another video I did recently with this same technique and similar ink colors:
