While I used almost the same products on my two cards today, they could not be more different. One is dark and mysterious, the other, colorful and fun. I wanted to show you just how versatile these products can be.
Alex Syberia Designs April Release Blog Hop and Give Away Card #1
Start by using the NEW Glowing Geometry Hot Foil Plate and foil in Polished Brass Foil onto black cardstock to create the card front.
Next, repeat with the Gorgeous Peonies Hot Foil Plate and then cut out the florals with the coordinating dies.
Cut a circle from Matte Gold cardstock and attach to the center of the card front. Also cut the word SPARKLE from the New Bright & Bubbly Die Set in gold, and twice in black to stack.
Finally, use foam squares to attach the gold circle and then the black foiled foliage. Use liquid glue to attach the sentiment underneath.
Alex Syberia Designs April Release Blog Hop and Give Away Card #2
Start by placing the NEW Pureland Fan Stencil over the card front and adding White Paper Glaze through it not covering the entire surface.
Next, once the paper glaze is dry, splatter with black ink.
Then, white heat emboss the Gorgeous Peonies Stamp Set onto watercolor paper.
Finally, use Gansai Tambi watercolors to paint the florals. When Dry, cut them out with the coordinating dies and attach to the card front.
Then, die cut the Hello 3 times from black, stack together and glue to the bottom of the card.

These are amazing! I LOVE the black and gold one! Just stunning!
thanks so much Meghan, I love the drama from the black and gold too
Absolutely gorgeous! Sandi you are so so talented. I really appreciate the detailed instructions that are so helpful (& the reason I needed to follow your art!). Love your cards & how you bring stamp sets to life!
aw thank you Donna, I glad you enjoy the additional instructions for the cards
I haven’t used stamp sets yet ,but am very interested in learning more
haha, it’s a rabbit hole, LOL
You are so right! Those couldn’t be more different, but both are fantastic. I do love the black and gold one. It’s so eye-catching.
Thanks so much Judy
Beautiful cards Sandi! The colors are perfect, love those die cut sentiments too 🙂
thanks so much Amy
I love the watercolor card!
Thanks so much Mary. Sorry no videos this week, I’m under the gun trying to get caught up on design team work after being sick, I’ll add it to the list though and try and circle back around to it at a later date.
I think you meant this comment for me (MaryH). If so, thank you. I looked at two of your other videos and some others. I am making this a weekly item for me to watch two videos teaching some water color techniques. You certainly inspired me. Thanks for taking the time to respond back; much appreciated. Have a great day!
Thank you Mary, you too.
Absolutely gorgeous cards and detailed instructions are always welcome. You do wonderful work!
Thanks so much Vickie, and I’m glad you appreciate the detailed instructions
Sandi you have definitely provided great products and wonderful instructions. This release has something for everyone! I adore the first card so much. Both cards have the WOW factor; but I am a hot foil nut as I feel it adds just the right amount of sophisticated bling! (Boy do I appreciate my glimmer machine!). I would have loved to see a video on the second one. I love water colored flowers and have some water color pens but for some reason am intimidated by the process and don’t do it often. I am taken by your choice of colors and the overall effect/look. Guess I have to make an effort to watch some more videos on watercoloring…. You did a lovely job (as usual).
Oh, these cards are amazing.
Love the hot foil dies and the brass foiling on black. Stunning!
Also love your last card.

The contrast between the two cards is amazing! I love the “dark and mysterious” one!

Its amazing how 2 cards, using same dies/stencils can look so different, just by changing up colors and materials 🙂
It really is, that’s the fun of changing it up
