Happy Monday friends. Over the weekend I created this Alex Syberia Designs Beautiful Day Glimmer Hot Foiled Card. This is part of Alex’s recent release, and the Beautiful Day set consists of a stamp set, a die set, a coordinating layered Stencil and a Hot Foil Plate. So, no matter what technique or coloring medium you want to play with, you are covered.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
For today’s card, I decided to use the Hot Foil Plate because I LOVE to hot foil. The main floral pieces are foiled, the large “friend” sentiment in the circle is a layered die cut and the smaller sentiment at the bottom of the circle and the tiny flowers, are from the stamp set. They all coordinate so beautifully and it’s so nice to have choices.
Products Used in today’s Card:
- Alex Syberia Designs Beautiful Day Stamp Set
- & Coordinating Die Set
- Beautiful Day Hot Foil Plate
- Alex Syberia Designs Beautiful Day Stencil Set
- Friend Die Set

How to create the Alex Syberia Designs Beautiful Day Glimmer Hot Foiled Card.
Start with Polished Brass Foil and foil the plate twice onto white Hammermill Cardstock.
Pro-TIP – I find the hammermill cardstock works the best for hot foiling as it’s so smooth and white.
Next, use the Beautiful Day Layered Stencil to add the colors to the image.
- Inks used: Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks:
- Bubblegum, Carnation, Peony, Aspen, Pine.
Then, use the coordinating dies to cut the two pieces out.
How to create the sentiment.
Start by using two circle dies, cutting the smaller out of the Bazzill Green Guacamole cardstock that matches the card front, the other from Matte Gold.
Next, using the “Friend” layered die set, cut the thin piece from the Matte Gold and the shadow from white.
Then, using the stamp set, gold emboss the smaller sentiment at the bottom of the circle. Stamp the tiny flower on a scrap of white cardstock with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with the fine gold embossing powder from Simon Says Stamp
Finally, color the flowers with copic markers: RV13, Rv14, RV19, G21, G24
Layer the two art pieces top and bottom to a A2 top folding white card base, with a covering 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Guacamole Green Bazzill cardstock front. Then layer the two circles and add them to the center.
