Sandi MacIver – Papercraft Artist – Altenew Enchanted Iris – Easy Watercolor Techniques
Hi stamping friends, welcome back, I have a NEW VIDEO for you today with more products from my friends at Craft Stash.
Say Hello to Altenew Enchanted Iris. As an avid gardener, I absolutely adore Iris. I had a collection of over 50 varieties in our Quesnel B.C. garden, and I hope to start that collection over again here in Drayton Valley Ab. One of my favourite colour combinations is the purple and yellow one so I had to create that today.
I admit going slightly to the funky side on this one, haha, so I hope you like it. I’m blaming this on the Altenew Watercolor palette – with 36 colours to choose from, I had to experiment, haha. You could also use the Altenew Watercolor Brush Markers for this project too. NOTE – I am not an expert in water coloring, I’m simply showing you how I like to add the colors to obtain these results.
I also included a New (to me) Altenew background die – Watercolor Stripes Cover Die. It’s the same size as an A2 card which is kind of cool, and I love how it lets the base card colour peek through!
The Enchanted Iris stamps are beautifully designed with great details and are easy to colour, with a lovely selection of sentiments to go with – AND, there are coordinating dies – now why didn’t I order those? haha….live and learn.
I created a video for you walking you through the creative steps for the card. If you are reading this in an e-mail, you may need to CLICK HERE to view the video – or SUBSCRIBE to my Youtube Channel to get automatic notifications when I load new videos – and you can watch them there in HD – BONUS.
I also created a PDF File for you for today’s card with all the tools listed, cutting instructions, etc. Click below to download it – and check out my FREE PDF Gallery – for more fun card ideas.
Here’s a close up of the flowers, I used a White Gel pen to add the white dots for some wow – highlights.
You can order these products directly through Craft Stash – in the links below, and don’t forget, they offer a 20% discount on your entire first order when you sign up for their newsletter. A NOTE about their newsletter – they have amazing sales – and you find out about them in this newsletter so it’s well worth signing up for.
They also offer FREE Shipping on certain sized orders.
They are absolutely lovely to deal with and orders come very quickly, and yes I know from experience – this is where the LAVINA stamps come from my friends, so check those out whilst you are surfing their site too.
