Bouquet of Roses and Sketchy Lines Congrats

Hello my stamping friends and happy weekend to you.  I thought I would sneak in another set of cards  – Bouquet of Roses and Sketchy Lines Congrats.  Of course I had to add some more Easy Layered Backgrounds with the Distress Oxides too mostly because I’m in love with the colours – they just make me happy.

So the focus on today’s cards, is the new Outline Congrats Die that dropped with the new Blossoms and Butterflies release this week.  At first I kind of looked at it and went “nah”.  made a few cards, kept pushing it out of the way on my work table.  Stopped for a cup of coffee and had a good look at it….Then I die cut it…..and WOW,

Who knew one little die could do all this work.  It cuts the letters out three times.  First, it cuts each letter into the card stock.

Second – it cuts the block letters out – and for this blue masculine card, I glued the block letters back in onto the black background to create this look.

Distress Oxide Ink Colour Combo for the blue card:  Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass.

Third – It also cuts out the outline of the letters, so I glued them in a line above my first word to create a ghost word above my dark one.  I LOVE THIS.

Distress Oxide Ink Combo for the Pink Card:  Festive Berries, Seedless Preserves and Scattered Straw

[These cards would be perfect for a graduation, new job, promotion, got on the basketball team….etc….I used the Messages for Everyday stamp set from Simon Says Stamp for the small white embossed sentiments.]

Don’t quite get it?  No problem – I did a video to explain it for you and walked you through creating the card.
