Dearest Gentle Reader, I have a new card idea for you today, a Bridgerton Dress Copy Card and Simon Says Stamp NEW RELEASE. I have just finished watching the latest episodes of the Bridgerton series and decided to copy the color combo of a dress Penelope wore in an episode. It was a lovely pale green with soft purple butterflies, I immediately thought “what a great card design”, haha, so here it is. Coupled with of course, the new Sunny Vibes release from Simon Says Stamp.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
This delightful die set is Dancing Floral Vine, and I cut it twice to cover my card front. There are two dies in the set, one cuts out the base (all the gold sections), the second cuts out all the overlays, leaves, flowers, flower centers etc.
The base pieces are both cut from Matte Gold cardstock. The leaves are cut from Mint, same cardstock as the card front, and I added a bit of Distress Oxide Ink in Pine Needles for some shadow and depth. For the flowers, I sprayed some watercolor paper with water and then added Lindy’s Gang Magicals in Sweet Violet Purple Teal and Polite People Purple, let it dry and die cut it.

How to create the Bridgerton Dress Copy Card.
Start by cutting a piece of Mint cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and attaching to a top folding A2 sized white card base cut from Hammermill cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Next, die cut the stem floral piece twice from Matte Gold cardstock and using a fine tip white glue, attach it to the card front.
Next, using the second die in the set, die cut the overlay pieces, first from Mint for the leaves, then from Purple for the flowers. You need to cut twice to cover the entire card.
PRO-TIP – the Simon Says Stamp Place and Score Embellishment Wand is excellent for picking up all these little pieces to glue down.
Then, using a small blending brush add Pine Needles Distress Oxide Ink, add a bit of darker green to the base of each leaf.
How to create the Bridgerton Dress Copy Card – putting it all together
Start by gluing down the leaves over the gold base, offsetting them slightly so the gold shows.
Next, add the flowers, and then the gold flower centers.
Finally, using the Fancy Giving Thanks Die Set, die cut Thankful, 3 times in matte gold and twice in white. Cut the shadow from vellum.
Then, glue together the three gold words and attach them to the top of the vellum shadow. Glue the two white words together and glue them to the back of the vellum to add height before attaching the entire piece to the center of the card.
PRO-TIP – you can see adhesive behind vellum. By adding the two white die cuts to the back of the vellum, I can add the glue to the back and it won’t be seen and still add dimension.
And here is the lovely dress I’m talking about that Penelope from Bridgerton wore in a recent episode with the lovely purple butterflies and gold highlights on a pale green background
This is a super fast and easy card to make with beautiful finishes, changing out the sentiment, it could be used for many occasions.
