Welcome back my papercrafting friends, today I’m cardmaking with Gina K Designs for the CRAFTY FRIENDS Blog Hop.
I have long been a fan of Gina K and her amazing designs. She is an astute business woman and a wonderful human and her stamping/crafting products are all first class.
SO – I’m super excited to announce Gina K Designs as our brand of the month.
Check out the GINA K DESIGNS website. They have an amazing selection of floral images and a new card kit that was recently released. I’ll be ordering that NEW Massive PEONY with my discount today (you’re welcome for the enabling, haha).
Use the Discount Code CRAFTYFRIENDS20 to receive 20% off your order when purchased through me (or any of my crafty friends) today and tomorrow.
February around here is the month that feels like winter will never end. As I type this, it’s -15 and snowing like the dickens. I’m getting really good on the snowblower haha. This of course, has me thinking about spring so I dug through my Gina K stamps looking for just the right flowers.
For today’s Cardmaking with Gina K Designs card, I decided on this Colossal Cone Flower set.
It’s big and bold and I colored it brightly with copic markers before attaching it to a fabulous Gina K Blue Lagoon background that I had stenciled.
I love coloring don’t you? It’s so relaxing and therapeutic. These images are simple and easy to color and the list of Copics I used is included in the PDF below.
Over on the Gina K Designs Blog they have a monthly challenge. This month it’s “Add texture”, so I did.
I used the Sun Spots Stencil and added Gina K White Glitz Glitter Gel to my card stock background. When it was dry, I brushed the edges with the coordinating Gina K Blue Lagoon Ink to help frame the design a bit.
This gave my card a bit of glitz or as I like to call it “some background noise”. The sentiment is die cut with Pinkfresh Essentials Classic Word Dies. Mostly because it was sitting on my work table and I was too tired from blowing snow to cut another one, haha. AND because I forgot to leave enough room to stamp one of the sentiments from the set!
The Gina K Designs Colossal Cone Flower stamp sets is one of their 6 x 8 stamp set. My card is 5 x 7″ so that gives you an idea of the size of the floral images. It also comes with sentiments and there is an add on coordinating die set available as well, although these are pretty easy to fussy cut out.
Now it’s time to hop along and visit my Crafty Friends who have some FABULOUS projects for you. Next up is the lovely Sue. If you get lost along the way, here is our list:
