Colorado Craft Company Honey Jar New Release Blog Hop and Give Away

Hey there!  I’m very excited to share that I have joined the Colorado Craft Company Design Team.  Today’s release is Kris Lauren meets Big & Bold Release and it’s full of sweet honey, delicate florals and enchanting fairies.  For todays post I am using the Colorado Craft Company Honey Jar New Release.

Additionally, there are also some generous giveaways along the hop.

Give away #1

First, a stamp set will be awarded from each stop along the hop.  Leave a comment at each stop for your best chance to win.  Contest closes Aug 18 midnight mountain time.  Winners will be notified by email, and will also be posted on the CCC Blog.

Next, one winner will receive a COMPLETE Bundle.   Simply use a design team shopping link to purchase from CCC to be entered.  Winner will be notified directly by e-mail.

There are three new stamp and die sets in this release built to coordinate with each other.  For today’s card I used the fairy, bees and florals from Honey Jar.  The pretty branch at the top is from Beehive.

Not surprisingly, my color choices are a warm color palette of yellows and peach.  These warm tones remind me of a relaxing summer day playing in the garden.

Start with a white card front.  Use blending brushes to combine Fossilized Amber and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Inks.

Meanwhile, Use the Misti to stamp the images onto white Hammermill cardstock.

Finally, color with Copic Markers  before cutting them out with the coordinating dies.

Putting the card together:

First, use the honeycomb stamps to stamp the background with the Abandoned Coral Ink.

Next, use the Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen on the fairy and bee wings.  This adds interest and a little bling, really makes them shimmer.

Finally, use foam squares to attach all the elements to the card front.  Attach the card front to the top folding A2 card base and trim any overhang.

  1. Hi Sandi, thank you for sharing your card on the hop. This is the first one I have seen with coral colors and I really like it. Your background is very pretty, and your coloring is beautiful. Thank you for sharing this card with me. I can’t wait to see your next card. Bye
