Hey card making friends. Today’s share is Dancin in the Rain Hand Made Die Cut Card. This is another set from the Out and About collection called Dancin in the Rain. I love the little ducky in his rain boots, he is so sweet, BUT, the umbrella dies really rock. There are two of them. One for the entire base, and then a second one (the solid blue pieces), that cuts every second panel. Very Cool and very easy to put together.

I decided on an Ombre ink blended background for this card using Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon ink. Once the 4 x 5-1/4″ panel was ink blended, I splattered it with water and then with white paint to make it look like rain, and lights in the rain.
How to create the Dancin In the Rain Hand Made Die Cut Card:
Start by creating the card front panel and then attaching it to a top folding A2 sized white card base – 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Next, die cut all the pieces for the umbrella.
- 1 – black card base so the Black tips show at each panel
- 1 – Rainbow Twirl Cardstock with the tips cut off
- 1 – 4 panel solid blue color cardstock that matches the Designer Paper.
Glue these all together and place an acrylic handle on top of them so they dry flat.
Then, cut the remaining pieces out, ink blend the edges with coordinating colors of ink, and glue them together.
Putting it all Together.
Glue the puddle down first. I used to love to jump in puddles as a kid, LOL – did you? I always got in trouble for doing it though!
Next, using foam squares, add the person and the duck
Then, again, using foam squares to create the dimension, add the umbrella.
Finally, cut the raindrops and glue them individually onto the panel.
THEN, use Glossy Accents to make the puddle shiny. My Glossy Accents even had some bubbles in it, which I didn’t pop, because they look like rain drops.
This was super fun to make and I could have created 20 – 30 umbrellas from different designer papers, LOL, so fun, and that little duck, there could be a whole row of them with different colored boots on, LOL
