Sandi MacIver – Papercraft artist – Fairytails and Dandelions – New Video
Hi stamping friends, I have a Fairytails and Dandelions – New Video to share with you today.
A bit ago, Craft Stash contacted me and asked if I wanted to join their affiliate program. They sent me a link to their site, and I had a little snoop, quickly sending back a note saying, “yes please”….OMGosh, they have some of the nicest stamps I have seen and I have been stamping for over 30 years. My favourites – Lavinia and the beautiful Silhouette fairies!…..so guess what – that’s my share for today.
In today’s NEW VIDEO I show you how easy these Distress Oxide inks are to blend, then I add a little splatter and some background noise stamping! – Looks crazy difficult right? It isn’t – it’s super easy and no special skills required. My video walks you through each step, start to finish, each layer at a time – video below.
My biggest problem with this project; is I love those dandelion stamps so much, I think I over used them the first time (card below).
it’s a tiny bit busy for my liking, LOL. I don’t think I needed 6 dandelions – talk about hay fever, haha.
Back to the video – I also included a little masking (her wings), and reverse masking (the moon), using the Inkadinkado Mask Paper (my new love) and a post it note.
I wanted the wings to pop a little so I added some Wink of Stella, and a bit after this in the video, I get myself in a little trouble when I squeeze the pen a bit too hard, haha.
This is the card I create with you in the video – only 3 dandelions (put the antihistamines away, LOL) – it uses the *Fairytail Stamp, the Dandelions Stamps, and the Creeping Vine Stamp set – which provides that little ivy stamp I used in the background.
PS – I did order three stamp sets, but they are a great price point, and combined are the same as ordering a larger stamp set from any stamp company – so they are great value! I also love them as silhouettes, but I think they would also look smashing embossed in gold, or how about white on black cardstock? so many ideas!….watch for a return visit from these little pretties.
Click the button below to download a FREE PDF for today’s card. It includes a picture, list of supplies, cutting instructions for the cardstock and bullet point instructions for making the card. At the end, I also provide clickable links to all the supplies I used, just in case you need to order some of them.
CLICK HERE to get in on the Craft Stash PREORDER for their Lavinia stamps – They are so popular they FLY right off the shelves – you know fairies are crafty (as in sneaky, not creative), just like elves right, LOL.
If you are reading this in an e-mail, you may need to CLICK HERE to visit my blog to watch the video – or watch it in HD on my YouTube Channel. If you love the project, please leave me a thumbs up, I love those – and I also love and read comments, so feel free to leave one of those too.
Thanks so much for visiting me today and I hope you enjoyed the project and the product links are below for you:
A note about ordering from Craftstash – they are in the UK, I’m in Canada. I placed an order with them and it came very quickly, in about 11 days. They provide free shipping on all orders over $85.00 (USD $70.00) and a 20% discount on your first order when you sign up for their newsletter. I personally LOVE their newsletter, it’s informative, has great photos and tells me what’s New! In short – a great company to deal with, with awesome customer service.
I’ve listed the products I used below. Clicking on the image will take you directly to the product. Where available I use compensated affiliate links which means if you make a purchase through my link, I receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thank you so very much for your support, it helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running and I truly appreciate it.
