Hello crafty friends! Today I’m sharing a fang-tastic Halloween card featuring the new Halloween City Holiday Decor Die Set from Spellbinders, and of course, designed by Yana.
If you already have Yana’s City Holiday Collection, you’re going to love this new addition. The original collection provides the basic building pieces–the house, windows, doors, and other architectural elements — while the new Halloween City Holiday Decor set lets you transform it into the cutest spooky house on the block!
Ghosts, pumpkins, bats, creepy hands, spiderwebs and even a skeleton–there are so many fun little details to mix and match.

Products used to create the Fang-Tastic Halloween Card with Yana’s Halloween City:
- Yana’s City Holiday Collection
- Halloween City Holiday Decor
- Happy Halloween Sentiments Press and Foil Plates
- White Glimmer Foil
How to Create a Fang-Tastic Halloween Card with Yana’s Halloween City
Create the Spooky Halloween Background:
I started by ink blending Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Ink over the 5″ x 7″ card front, creating a bright green glow behind the house.
Once I was happy with the blend, I splattered the panel with black paint to add a little extra texture and grungy Halloween atmosphere.
Next, I cut out a black hill and bare tree (trails End Etched Dies) and added them along the bottom and left side of the card. I love how the black silhouettes frame the bright turquoise house and make that green background pop.
Build Yana’s Halloween City House:
Next came the really fun part–decorating the house!
I used dies from the Yana’s City Holiday Collection to create the main house, windows, curtains and doors. The turquoise house with black trim gave me the perfect foundation for all those colorful Halloween details.

Add the Fang-Tastic Halloween Details:
The I pulled out the new Halloween City Holiday Decor Die Set and started filling those windows!
I added ghosts, pink jack-o-lanterns, a spooky slimmy green hand, spiderweb, skeleton and other tiny Halloween elements, using pops of purple, pink, orange, yellow and green.
There are so many possibilities with this set, and you could easily make every Halloween house look completely different just by changing the colors and rearranging the decorations.
Foil the Happy Halloween Sentiment:
To finish the card, I used the new Happy Halloween Sentiments Press and Foil Plates.
I glimmer hot foiled the sentiment in white so it would stand out beautifully against the black window. I tucked it into the bottom window along with the spiderweb and skeleton for one final spooky detail.
I absolutely love how this card turned out! It has lots of little things to discover, but the bright colors keep it feeling cute and playful rather than scary.
And really….who wouldn’t want to trick-or-treat at this house?
Happy Crafting!
