Glimmer For the Holidays

Hi card making friends.  Today I have some Glimmer For the Holidays Cards for you.  These are new glimmer plates that came out in August and they create beautiful, fast and easy Christmas Cards.  It’s almost that time isn’t it?  This year I am ready, I have all my Christmas cards made already, how about you?  NO?  well then you will really appreciate these quick and easy cards today that look so elegant with all the BLING the Glimmer Foil adds to them.

PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.

Glimmer for the Holidays Intro

All of the cards are glimmer foiled with the Polished Brass Foil, and gold highlights or layers with the mirror gold cardstock.  They are almost flat so no additional posted should be required on them either.

Glimmer for the Holidays, Pine Sprays:

Start with a top folding A2 sized white card base.  4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″

Next, use Polished Brass Glimmer Foil to foil the Pine Sprays plate into Blue Spruce Cardstock.  Cut this out with the Notched Corner Frames and then cut one larger for a mat out of Mirror Gold cardstock.  To save on paper, you can cut the ball and the hanger from the center of the mat, as it won’t show on the finished card.  The hanger is from the Stitched Ornament Etched Dies.  The Vivant Circle Gold Metallic Cord is a new Spellbinders product.

Then, glue the die cuts together and then add the ornament to the card front.  Folding the metallic cord over to the back.

Finally, use Foam squares to attach the art piece to the card base.  Add a sentiment from the Comfort & Joy Sentiments Glimmer foil set.

PRO-TIP: – you could also emboss the ornament for further detail.  I decided I liked it plain.
