Hey card making friends. I have something totally fun AND NEW for you today and a real time saver too. Whimsy Stamps sent me some new “stuff” to play with so I created the Gnome Party Masked Card.
You know when you want to add layers of stamped images that you have to stamp those images onto sticky paper and fussy cut them all out to add your layers right? Well, check this out!
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
Now you don’t. Whimsy Stamps has a new release today of adorable stamp sets that have matching No fuss Masks.
The package contains 4 sheets and every image in the stamp set has a mask. They are all cut and ready to go JUST Peal and go – no more fussy cutting – YEAHOO!
And, I had to do a Rainbow of gnomes, they are just too cute.
How to create the Gnome Party Card:
I’m not going to go into great detail, as I did a video for you. Just a few tips and tricks.
Start with a Hammermill white cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. Place it into your Misti.
Next, you have to think ahead a bit of where you want images positioned. I wanted the present in front of the gnomes and the balloons behind.
Then, stamp the parcel first, cover with the mask. Stamp the gnomes next, cover with a mask, stamp the balloons, and cover with a mask.
PS – That right there, is 3 masks, that you did NOT have to FUSSY CUT.
Gnome Party Masked Cards: The Next Steps.
Next, use Distress Oxide Inks in Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean to create your background. Splatter with water and then the irridecent white paint from the Gansai Tambi 36 watercolor pack.
Then, peal off the masks so you can copic coloring your gnomes.
Here is the Card Making Video walking you through each step of creating the Gnome Party Masked Card. I even taped all of the copic coloring for those of you who have been asking about coloring videos. So, don’t shoot me for how long this video is please, haha.
