Most of the month I have been playing with Christmas in July and in particular the Blue Spruce colored cardstock from Spellbinders. Well in my design kit, I received the two new sets of Mini Ink Cubes that Simon has been releasing, Blue Seas Collection and Blue Skies Collection. Turns out, one set of the colors, is almost identical to the Blue Spruce Color – which I have used for the stems on today’s card.
Pawsitively Saturated Ink: Aegean – Tropic – Tidepool and these are part of the BLUE SEAS Collection.
How to create the Golden Fern Embossing Folder Card:
Start by using blending brushes to blend Aegean, Tropic and Tide Pool inks up a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ white card front.
Next, place inside the Golden Fern Embossing Folder and run it through the die cutting machine.
Then, using a sponge dauber, add more of the Aegean ink to the embossed image.
Golden Fern Embossing Folder Card – Embellishing:
Here’s where it got a little crazy, LOL.
First, water splatter the piece, then mix Gansai Tambi Gold watercolor and splatter the piece again. Once it’s dry, attach it to a top folding A2 Sized White card base.
Next, Die cut the new Daisy Heads Dies in white and use Lemonade ink for the centers. Cut the stems from Spellbinders Blue Spruce card stock using the Alstroemeria Stem die.
Then, cut the “Just a Note” sentiment from the Blue Spruce card stock and the shadow from Vellum.
Finally, glue these all together and add them to the card front using small pieces of foam tape.
Embellish with the NEW Perfect Day Sequins
That’s for my share today, I hope you enjoyed this easy and fun technique and will give it a try.
Now it’s time to join the hop for more inspiration. You may have come from: Jennifer’s Blog and your next stop is : Barb
