Heart Garland Gnome

Hi crafty friends and welcome back to my cardmaking blog. Today I’m sharing Simon Says Stamp Heart Garland Gnome.

The heart Garland is a new 6 x 6 background stamp from the Simon Says Stamp “Hey Bestie” release that went live January 9th. This release is all about friendship and as I don’t send too many Valentine’s cards, I decided to make a friend card and include one of my favorite little guys from a past Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit, Gnome for the Holidays.

Yep, that crazy little gnome is back and I popped him right on top of the card front I created with the Heart Garland Background Stamp.

I started by popping the stamp into my MISTI. You have to take out the foam base because there is a foam base on the stamp. Placed my Neenah 80# card front in there, and stamped it in Versamark Ink.

Next I white heat embossed it and then blended it with Distress Oxides Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries. I have a similar blend and video <click here, you can watch.

I die cut it out with the Memory Box double stitch loving heart cut out dies and will save that inside piece for another card.

The sentiment is from SSS Sketched Flowers – a set from last year, and the black sentiment strip is from CZ Designs Love you More sentiments.

The Lil Gnome Wafer Die is cut from the patterned paper that came in the kit (linked below) and I cut out a few hearts with the SSS Nested Hearts die set.

There, another Quick and Easy card to send to a friend who doesn’t live near me.
