Happy Sunday, Friends! Today I’m sharing a brand new video featuring the Just Add Cake Birthday Card Kit from Spellbinders, and I had so much fun creating with it. In this Just Add Cake Birthday Card Kit video, I’m walking you through a full unboxing and showing you how to create 5 easy handmade birthday cards from one kit.

I have to laugh — during the editing, I realized I had forgotten to turn my camera back on after adjusting my lens! So, yes….you’ll notice my sleeves magically change partway through the flower card, LOL. But, that’s real life crafting, and we make it work – right?

But wait, there’s more! There are a couple very cool add-ons for this kit as well. My Mr. Chompster card was created using the Color Block Accent Arches Die Set, which coordinates perfectly with the Essential Arches dies — chances are you may already have these in your stash since they’ve been around for awhile.

I also walk you through how to create this card in the video, including the fun checkerboard border. You won’t believe how easy it is to put together.

The second Add-on is the Stripe Right Die, that cuts 4 different widths of long stripe panels–perfect for creating custom backgrounds.. I used it to build the striped background for my floral shaker card above, and I walk you through the entire process step-by-step in the video below.

The Birthday Brew Die Set is perfect for creating masculine cards, whether your favorite guy enjoys a beer or a coffee. With options for a casual seater or a more polished shirt and suit, you can easily customize the look to suit any style. I also walk you through how to create this card in the video.

Next I created this card to showcase the Confetti Drop 3D Embossing Folder, paired with one of the rub-ons for a quick and easy birthday card design.

and finally, a masculine version featuring another rub-on. Can I just say– that is the best looking birthday cake? I definitely want one like that for my next birthday, LOL!
