Light the Menorah Cards

Hi card making friends.  I’m back with another set of cards using the new Simon Says Stamp Light the Menorah Cards.  This is a lovely stamp/die set celebrating Hanukkah.  I decided to create today’s card in the traditional blue, white and silver colors, I hope you enjoy them.

This stamp/die set has a generous selection of images and sentiments allowing you to easily create beautiful cards to celebrate. I chose the Cosmic Sky card stock from Spellbinders for my cards today as it was the closest I have in my stash to the traditional blue.

I used Simon’s Luxe Glitter cardstock (LOVE THIS STUFF), on the first one, and it’s beautiful and blingy, on the second, I embossed the white background for added interest.

How to create the Light the Menorah Card #1:

Start with a white card base, 4-1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5-1/2. Next, attach a piece of Cosmic Sky 4-1/4 x 5-1/2″ to the front.

Next, add the Luxe Glitter paper cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″

Then, cut the center pieces:  Matte Silver 3″ x 3″ and Cosmic Sky again 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″.

Finally.  Silver heat emboss the images into Cosmic Sky cardstock.  Cut out with the coordinating dies and then attach to the card using small pieces of foam tape.

How to create the Light the Menorah Card #2

The first three steps are the same measurements as the previous card except the card front is white and embossed with the Spun Glass Embossing Folder from Simon Says Stamp.

Next, cut a flag 2″ wide, and 5-1/2″ long, flag tail the one end, and attach it to the card front leaving enough space for the sentiment.  Cut off the overhang.

Then, white heat emboss the images onto Cosmic Sky blue cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies

Finally, attach the images to the card front with small pieces of foam tape.  Wrap the top of the card with Metallic Silver Cord and tie off in a bow.

  1. Two very fancy cards! The blue you used may not be the traditional blue but looks perfect to me. Especially like the Festival of Lights sentiment card.
