More Watercolor Roses

HI card making friends.  I have More Watercolor Roses in a Slimline Card for you today.  So today the Picket Fence Studios Team, is blogging with the My Favorite Things Team.  We have swapped some products with them and we are using their products in combination with ours.

For my card today, I decided to use the My Favorite Things Ink Pads and do some ink blending.  I chose Something Blue, Summer Splash and Lemon Drop.

How to create the More Watercolor Roses Card:

Start by ink blending the My Favorite Things ink through the Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Triangle Peaks Stencil

Next, attach that panel to a 4 x 9 Slim Line Card Base

Use the new Slimline Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles to die cut the scalloped frame and use Foam strips to attach it to the card front.

This adds a frame around the main art pieces on the card and helps to define the space.

Adding the Roses:

Stamp the Roses in black ink and then color with Copic Markers

Copic Markers Used:

Green:  G21, G94, G99

Teal:  BG53, BG57, BG09

Blue:  B13, B24, B26

Yellow:  Y06

Die cut the roses with the coordinating die and attach to the left side of the card

Adding the sentiment:

Using Black card stock, die cut the “Hey You” sentiment three times.

Next use white glue to stack them before attaching them to the card base.

I was going to add a few sequins, but I decided there was more than enough going on in this card, LOL….

Picket Fence Studios also has Slimline Envelopes in blues, greens and yellows that would coordinate perfectly with this card.

Final Note:

The My Favorite Things Ink Pads blend beautifully and they are very nice colors.  I would recommend them for sure.  They also stamp very nicely as they have a nice firm foam pad.
