New Video Distress Oxide Sprays Ink Smooshing

Hi card making friends. I’m on a roll this week, not only do I have a new card for you, I have a New Video Distress Oxide Sprays Ink Smooshing. You know me, I love to Smoosh….and while I was unpacking my stamp room I came across my distress oxide Ink sprays…and thought – hey, I haven’t played with these for awhile.

Then the Simon Says Stamp April card kit arrived with this beautiful Friendly Flowers stamp set in it and that sealed it….You can buy the stamp set separate from the kit and if you didn’t get the kit, I would strongly recommend it. It’s a beautiful floral with tons of fun sentiments.

I’m not going to go into great detail, because it’s all there in the video.

I used Distress Oxide Sprays: Mermaid Lagoon, Speckled Egg and Twisted Citron and a piece of watercolor paper. I find it works best for this technique as you can really layer the colors and get great blends as well.

I decided to create a SLIMLINE CARD as I really enjoyed the added real estate they provide for my creative process

Once the piece was dry, I die cut it with the Picket Fence Studios Slim Line Nested Rectangles dies, which added that beautiful stitched edge.

I decided not to color the floral image but instead white heat embossed it onto a piece of vellum. Mostly because I was under a time crunch, but I love that the muted colors from the background show through too.
