Good evening card making friends. Up tonight for the STAMPtember Collaboration, is Paper Rose Studios. Their stamp set is called Beautiful Friend and as I love sunflowers, I just had to color a Paper Rose Studios Sunflower Card to share with you tonight. I also love that there is a nice selection of sentiments and some single flowers you could use to decorate the background if you wished.
PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. See below for my full disclosure.
Fall is in full swing up here so I looked out my studio window for the color inspiration for today’s card. The sunflowers in the neighbors yard are in full bloom and the birds are sneaking in to feed on them. There are a few roses still trying to shine, but their colors are darkening. Some of the leaves have already turned brown, many are beautiful yellows and oranges, and of course I had to sneak in my teal!.
Just a reminder. This is an exclusive one of a kind stamp/die set. There are only a certain number made and once they are sold they are gone, they will not be reordered. So if you love this one like I do – snag it quickly. – sorry, sold out.
Let’s jump into the card and I’ll give you a quick tutorial of what I did:
How to create the Paper Rose Studios Sunflower Card:
Start with a piece of hammermill white cardstock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ inside a Misti and stamp the image in Intense Black Ink from Simon Says Stamp (it’s copic friendly and waterproof).
Next, color the image with Copic Markers:
Teal: BG11, BG13, BG49, Brown: E31, E35, E57, Yellow: Y15, Y17, Y19 with a bit of E57 (dark brown down near the flower center). Pinks: R81, R83, R85
Then, cut out the image.
Finally, white heat emboss the larger sentiment onto a scrap of black cardstock and stamp the small sentiment in black onto a scrap of white card stock.
Paper Rose Studios Sunflower Card – Putting it together:
Attach a piece of teal card stock 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to the front of a top folding A2 sized white card base 4-1/4″ x 11″, score and fold at 5-1/2″.
Next, use foam tape to attach the art piece to the center right of the card.
Then, use foam tape to attach the sentiments on the left and a bit lower.
Finally, mix some white acrylic paint with water and splatter the front of the card. Then, add a few Stay Gold Sequins from Simon Says Stamp.
Some of the other collaboration stamp sets are still available – you can catch them all here.
