NEW Card Making Video – Triple Time Stamping with Resist Technique

Hi card making friends and welcome back.  Today’s STAMPtember Collaboration release is Sweet ‘N Sassy and this lovely floral stamp and die set.  I didn’t get the dies so I decided to circle back to a couple favorite card making techniques from many years ago.  The Triple Time Stamping and the Resist Technique, and I combined them into one card.  So fun, and so easy.

This exclusive collaborative stamp/die set is only available while supplies last and will not be reordered: – Sold Out  But I have linked to some other stamp sets that will work below.

This techniques requires stamping over all three levels of cardstock, then adding mats as you build up the final layers of the cards.  Sounds difficult, but it’s super easy.  I did a video walking you through each of the steps.

Here are the cutting instructions for the pieces:

Three art pieces are:  2 x 3-1/4″, 3 x 4-1/4″ and 4 x 5-1/4″

Mats to complete card:  2-1/4 x 3-1/2″, 3-1/4 x 4-1/2″ and 4-1/4x 5-1/2″ – or as you will see in the video, your card front.

Start by using repositionable tape to stack the three art pieces on top of each other.

Next, using VersaMark Ink and White Embossing Powder:  Stamp the sentiment, then the flowers, ensuring that the flowers are randomly stamped all over the piece – not all lined up.
Then, cover with the white embossing powder and heat set.

Repeat step two with the small leaf stem stamp filling in around the outside edge of the card.

Then, cover with the white embossing powder and heat set.

Triple Time Stamping with Resist Technique – Adding the color:

Start by coloring the flowers and leaves.  I used copic markers, but you can watercolor, colored pencils, zig markers, Karen Markers – your choice.

Copic Markers Used:  Teal:  BG11, BG13, BG49 – Greens:  YG03, YG17

Next, pull the three pieces apart and using a soft blending brush and Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated ink in Seafoam, blend ink around the edges.  You want to blend dark enough so that the white embossed images pop.  (especially over the sentiment).

Then, attach the mats behind each piece.

PRO-TIP:  Dry fit all the pieces and line up the embossing.  Attach the large one to the card base first to make sure you have it right side up.

Finally, use foam tape to add dimension between each of the layers as you add them.  Embellish with Spellbinders Aquamarine Color Essential Gems.

NOTE:  As the stamp set I used is a STAMPtember set and only Available during the celebration, I linked a few more stamp sets below that would also be great to use for this technique.
