Hi stamping friends, happy weekend. Today I’m sharing Simon Says Stamp Christmas Foliage Wreath Card.
I have been playing with a new die set from SSS called Christmas Foliage and a new Gemini Junior Die cutting machine, so I have been die cutting like crazy haha….which kind of created this card.
The new Christmas Foliage die is fabulous for die cutting little embellishments for your cards, or you can make it the main focal point as I did here.
There are 5 elements in this Christmas Foliage die set. I chose to leave them attached to each other and die cut them all at once, leaving me with lots of little bits to play with for other card ideas. (which you will be seeing quite soon).
This item was super popular yesterday and is already on reserve to Nov 4.
When you are placing your orders through Simon Says Stamp, if you include the die set, they will hold your entire order until it comes in. If you want the rest of your order shipped, then simply order it separately, or you can input your e-mail address, and they will notify you when it’s back in stock. It’s worth waiting for.
Card Details:
- I started with a White A2 card base and White heat embossed the Reindeer Background Stamp onto the front. (love a little background noise on my cards).
- Next I added my die cuts, 5 of each color, laying them in a circle and gluing them down.
- I added a couple of additional strips of the cardstock along the top and bottom just to add a border and a bit more color to the card. The dots along the bottom are also from the original die cutting.
- The Joy die is from My Favorite Things Stamps, and is cut three times and layered so it pops a bit. I wanted some smaller berries for my wreath so I used a hand held circle punch and some red cardstock scrap to create them.
If you have been considering a new die cutting machine as I have been, I HIGHLY recommend this little buddy.
Gemini Junior…..it’s electric, so you just push the sandwich in and watch as it pulls it through and creates a perfect cut each time, no getting in with a knife and trying to finish the cuts…..it’s amazing!….
