Hey cardmaking friends, welcome back. Today’s share is Simon Says Stamp Lifting Hearts Bunny Card. It’s day 12 of the “The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge” so I dug out this bunny again and gave him a little coloring love.
I needed this card to be super bright and cheery so instead of a blue stenciled sky, I made it multicolored with the Simon Says Stamp Stencil – Clouds for Days.
This Stencil is 4 sided. You just brush the color up against it to create these pretty puffy clouds in whatever color you wish.
For the Sky: I used Distress Oxides in Cracked Pistachio, Broken China and Wild Honey.
To add a bit of interest, or background noise, I die cut the card front out with the Simon Says Stamp Wonky Rectangles dies to add the pretty stitched border around the edge. It’s a quick and easy way to add a frame, a bit of interest, but no extra bulk to your card.
My Bunny is colored with Copics on Neenah 80# card and then die cut with the coordinating Lifting Hearts Dies.
Copic List for the Simon Says Stamp Lifting Hearts Bunny Card:
Bunny:C00, C0, C1, C2, C3
Ears: R20, R83
Blues: BG11, BG13, BG49
Pinks: RV13, RV14, RV19
Greens: YG21, YG23, YG17
Finally, the sentiment is also from the stamp set, white heat embossed on black and a sprinkling of Simon Says Girl’s Best Friend sequins completes the card.
